Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Collision Avoidance
Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Collision Avoidance Discussion with Case Studies of Mid-Air Incidents
About this session
As the use of drones continues to increase, both recreationally and commercially, manned and unmanned aircraft must continue to adapt in the shared airspace. In this webinar, DronePro and CFI, Vinnie Melling who operates out of the Northampton, MA airport (7B2), will discuss several mid-air incidents that have occurred and also share his own experiences as both a sUAS and fixed wing aircraft pilot. Following the webinar, the attendees will better understand the requirements for operating sUAS in the National Airspace (NAS) and how to better coexist with manned aircraft using the lessons learned from the case studies.
